In addition to some of these other answers, I think it’s unlikely simply because of how malnourished she was. I don’t think her body could have supported a pregnancy at the time Noah was born.

On balance, I don't think Noah was Lex's child. I agree with John E Mack's view that her ability to have children was lost when her father struck her in the stomach. I think perhaps she was crying about Noah because it was pure relief and thankfulness that one of them got out unscathed when the rest were so very damaged.

I thought this as well, but I can’t tell for sure. It’s very vague. But yes, when the police are studying the crimes and they’re labeling the family members and one label is “relationship undetermined”, which could fit Lex/ baby Noah.

It's unlikely. Lex almost certainly lost her ability to have children when her father struck her in the stomach over her Greek myth book. Still, it might explain Noah's adoptive mother's odd hostility to Lex. They said, if child protective services though Noah was Let's child, Lex would have had custodial rights. Most likely it had no reason to check out the possibility.

yes I thought that as well and was surprised when it was never mentioned.

I actually wondered this myself! I think it is entirely possible but I don't remember any obvious parts of the book that would confirm this.

Wouldn’t put it past the father... disturbing but it does happen

Holly, I totally agree with you, Lex was starving and had been for some time so I don't think it would have physically been possible.
I think their father was into physical abuse (of all of the children) and not sexual abuse especially since he was so into the bible.
