Are all of your books set in the same universe? If so, what order should they be read in?

Gail Carriger Like Mercedes Lackey or Anne McCaffery you can read in chronological or authorial order. Chronological would start with Etiquette & Espionage. Authorial woudl start with Soulless. As a reader, I woudl probably chose chronological but I'm archaeologically exacting like that.
