is it just me, or does this sound VERY SIMILAR to All Creatures Great and Small... people instead of animals ? Even right down to his arrival, the older doctor, the strange people, even the names ?

I…moreThat was the first thing I thought of when I started this book. But this one is wordier...the James Herriot books had more meat in them per chapter. I am enjoying this book (up to ch. 12) but I am skimming it because there is some stuff I don't want to read about. Some of the readers asked if that was a problem...having it be soooo similar to James Herriot's books...yes...like the original idea has been "borrowed". I LOVE THE James Herriot books.(less)
