Hey Sylvia, How did your book "Bared to you" get noticed? I understand that it was self- published first. My book is being self published soon and I think it is amazing that your book got picked up so quickly.

Bared to You was made available to reviewers via NetGalley in March 2012, a month before its release in April. My editor at Penguin, Cindy Hwang, was surfing through Goodreads at the end of March and saw all the wonderful reviews for Bared to You, and she sent me an email asking why I hadn't submitted the book to her for consideration (she and I had been working together for awhile).
We discussed my reasons (atypical hero, publication timelines, etc.) and she asked if I would send her the file to read for pleasure. I did as she asked and the following week Bared to You released to the general public. Before the week was out, Cindy called with an offer to take over the publication of the book. We negotiated for several weeks before we came to an agreement that worked for us both.
