Roger Angle asked this question about
Long Bright River:
I am just in the second chapter, "Then," and I feel lost. Why are we here? What is the point? I loved the first chapter, "Now," about a woman cop and the gritty streets of her beat in Kensington, part of Philly.
If there is a through-line, I guess it has to do with her sister, Kacey. But it feels vague, unfocussed, meandering. I am having trouble sticking with it.
Anyone else have this trouble?
