I am just in the second chapter, "Then," and I feel lost. Why are we here? What is the point? I loved the first chapter, "Now," about a woman cop and the gritty streets of her beat in Kensington, part of Philly. If there is a through-line, I guess it has to do with her sister, Kacey. But it feels vague, unfocussed, meandering. I am having trouble sticking with it. Anyone else have this trouble?

I didn't necessarily have that issue, as I got the impression there would be a back and forward from the book blurb, and that the focus was on a sister relationship. But it did take me a while to get fully immersed with the story. It's worth sticking with though :) everything is connected, and weaves together quite well the more you read
