How do you get inspired to write?

Jon Ring I've always wanted to, and have done so privately for years, but never seriously. Other things kept coming up, some important like marrying and raising a family or running my business, and some not so important, time wasters pretty much. Then my dad died. I was going though his things and saw how much he still had wanted to accomplish and now that none of it will happen. It deeply affected me, beyond just my sorrow at losing him and made me look at myself and what I wanted to do before I'm gone. Pretty morbid, huh? On the plus side it lit a fire under me that I don't think will ever be quenched now. Now I need to write, literally have to in order to function properly. And I'm ok with that.
