How do you get inspired to write?

Sean Cassidy I won't lie, sometimes it is hard. Particularly whilst balancing a full-time job and trying to get in some down time. I think for my first novel it was more a case of getting over the line and proving to myself that I can finish writing a novel. Sometimes you do question it but ultimately it comes down to how much you want it. Actually getting yourself to sit down and produce something good is the hard part as, quite often, I found myself writing very little in an hour but then in other sessions I could write a whole chapter. It's about chipping away and once you get into a rhythm it makes it much easier! Just like a Brit jumping into a pool - it's alright once you're in!
