The characters in your books, are they ever inspired by yourself or by other people in your life?

Jennifer A. Nielsen Not really, Gretta. And it's because I'm pretty awful to my characters, so if I were thinking about a real person in my life that I cared about, I wouldn't be able to be as cruel as I'd want to be.
