Hey friends, I just could not finish this audiobook, I had a miserable time trying to listen to it. BUUUTTT I heard that Ansel died. Can someone please clue me in to how/why he died and the spoilers and cliffhangers from the end? I was thinking maybe in the future Ansel might end up with Coco when he was older but I guess not if he's dead? And did he end up having any magical powers? I really loved Ansel :((((

This answer contains spoilers… (view spoiler)[I loved Ansel too :(( it struck me so hard when he just died like that.
Lou and the gang gather the forces of Blaise's werewolves, the carnival people (I forgot what the carnival name was sorry) and La Voisin's blood witches and monitor the funeral of the Archbishop. But Morgane didn't strike during the funeral at all, and Lou figures out that the "pretty porcelain, pretty doll" is Célie. Coco divines Lou's future using blood from her finger and predicts that a man close to her heart will die, which most people think as Reid, but Beau thinks it could be any male in their company. Lou leaves alone, barring Reid from following her through the trapdoor, and finds Célie in the grave of Filippa, Célie's sister (some sick version of torment on Morgane's part). Ansel is able to follow Lou through the trapdoor, though, as he figures out that she only barred it against Reid. Lou tries to make him go back by insulting him and calling him a child, but Ansel stays. Meanwhile, Reid and all the others are separated in the catacombs while looking for Célie and Lou. Blah blah blah, sorry it's kind of complicated, and eventually Lou, Célie, and Ansel find Morgane in this courtyard kinda thing. Turns out Gaby is alive and Morgane goes on and on about her evil plans, Lou and Ansel fight her, Reid and the others arrive and fight off the Dames Blanches (oh and Jean Luc is in love with Célie and decides to fight with Reid. yayy, brothers! except not really). wow i am just now realizing how all-over-the-place my answer is. i'm so sorry. but bottom line is, Claud Deveraux is a god, he scared off Morgane, but before Morgane fled she stabbed "the base of Ansel's skull". so yep! and the cliffhanger is, I think, that La Voisin was working with Morgane and now she's enchanting Lou to go back to Morgane willingly (since Claud Deveraux, aka the Woodwose or something, and his sister, who i'm assuming is the goddess the Dames Blanches worship, have forbidden Morgane from attempting to go after Lou again).
So yeah! Sorry that was a lot of writing but that's about the last 100 pages of Blood & Honey :) (hide spoiler)]
