Paula McLain Hello, Sandi. Nice of you to chime in here! My new novel WHEN THE STARS GO DARK is a big departure for me, a literary suspense title set in 1990s Northern California. It was so rewarding for me to jump into a new genre with a new set of challenges. I'm not sure what the book after this will be YET, but I'm really excited to feel my ceiling open up, and to know there are myriad ways to explore the lives of strong and resilient female characters.
