(view spoiler)[Is Taelien Salaris the main character for the entire plot, or is Corin because it feels like Taelien is the main character of the story? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[It's a little more complicated than either option.
Taelien is the primary lens through which readers get to see this time period of the story. I wouldn't consider him to be the "main character" of the plot as a whole, exactly - he's there to be a point of connectivity between each of the major stories in this time frame, but that doesn't mean he's central to all of them. His role in the plot of the Arcane Ascension books is comparatively minor. I would only consider him to truly be the main character of the Weapons & Wielders books, since the War of Broken Mirrors has three perspective characters with roughly equal significance (Lydia, Jonan, and Taelien).
Corin is the main character for his own books, and he may influence other books further down the line, too.
There will also be other books that don't include Taelien *or* Corin - things like the Wrynn Jaden book, for example, which is set before Taelien and Corin were born. (hide spoiler)]

Hey! love your work!
why did mizuchi help by eliminating all of those people in the ball?
other by being compelled by her summoner she also seemed to be willingly involved. presumably she is faithful to the visages which obviously have conflicting interests with her summoner's faction.. that really confuses me.

Read AA series so far — maybe Corin’s thinking is rubbing off on me, but when Meltlake was saying she couldn’t progress or access the fabled sapphire level, why didn’t Corin ask if he could use his Arbiter attunement to try to help? Maybe I’m misunderstanding how it works, but I was surprised when he didn’t try, at least to see if anything interesting resulted. No stone left unturned seems to be his motto, ha!
