One of the proximate inspirations for The Measure of Humanity - the most recent published book - is the trend in 2020 to remove the humanity from people who are 'other' - black, gay, transgender, different party. I took that to a logical extreme and had an effort made to strip the actual humanity away from one of my main characters, and then examine the arguments against that.

Why did you feel the need to lie to people and go through such an elaborate plan to pose as a lesbian (AC Adams), to invent a fictional family, a wife, a degree and so on? I do understand using a pen name for whatever reasons, but inventing a fake person AND interacting with people on a personal level through it, what was the actual point of that?
