Kate After listening to it again I think it’s implied that Harm was done to Jet by Violet. It says Jemma was hysterical and couldn’t piece together words. She was whispering. I think she is turning to Blythe because she had been a naysayer to Blythe about Violet in past but now realizes that Blythe wasn’t wrong about violet. I also think the symbolism of Blythe yelling “I pushed him!” Right before this scene signifies the child is some sort of sociopath.

Patty I read it as Violet killed Jet and Gemma was reaching out to her because she knew she would be the one who would understand.

Laurie It was an odd ending as she didn’t really indicate Jemma was really upset or that Jet actually died. She said “something happened.” What does that mean? Is it supposed to be open-ended so that we, the reader, decides?

Joanna Longley I think Violet fed Jet bleach. It’s foreshadowed earlier - Violet points at the poison symbol on the bottle and says to Blythe - “that means someone could die if they drank even a bit of it, doesn’t it?”
Sofie In the end we find out that Blythe was right all along.
Sofia I'm still trying to piece it all together in my mind. I'm torn from thinking if it is all how Blythe pictured it or not. The ending suggested Violet did something to Jet, and it may be the only logical explication of why Gemma called Blythe. Now, what if Blythe really pictured it all wrong? because the whole book we are sold the image of Violet isolating herself, but in the last chapters we see how Joe tells Blythe how he saw Sam's "accident" he says Violet clung herself to Blythe, a statement Blythe denied saying Violet had never done that, so, how much of Blythe's perception was blinded? What if she really twisted things up? I think Ashley Audrain wanted to play with out minds
Angela I am pretty sure Violet hurt Jet or killed him. I mean the whole time blythe wonders if she imagines her daughter is evil or if she actually is. I think the author wants us to believe Violet was a sociopath
