Goodreads asked Rebekah Isert:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Rebekah Isert I am not afraid to take stuff out of my books, and to keep trying until it works. I have two files for every story. One is the manuscript itself, like: "Wednesday's Book" or "Oak and Ivy" and then the other is my outtakes folder. Some of my funniest lines, most tragic scenes, and wittiest dialogue is in my outtakes folder. If it doesn't work, take it out and move on.

In the parlance of writers: "Kill your darlings." To add on to that: I can guarantee you can come up with something just as good, and at least having an outtakes folder means you can enjoy it in all of its original glory later.
