A Goodreads user asked this question about Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1):
I have watched all the Harry Potter films loads of times and I love them but is it worth it reading the books if I know what is going to happen?
Amisha YES the books and movies might go based of the same things but you get more info out the book and if you just watch the movies you miss certain parts.…moreYES the books and movies might go based of the same things but you get more info out the book and if you just watch the movies you miss certain parts. For example later in the series there is a werewolf and the movie has like 0 info on him when in the book there is at least a page or 2 of background info and that's just one thing they forgot. So reading the books then watching the movie is best but even if you saw the movie you should read the books! Hope the wolf part wasnt a spoiler(less)
