As someone who has also seen the films first, I too was unsure if I should get the books. But I did, and I was not disappointed.

See, the books are quite big and there are many characters, and for movies, that's a problem because they don't have the time to include EVERYTHING.

For example, I didn't know who Peeves was because he got completely scripted out of the movies.

Trust me, reading the books is kinda like finding the missing pieces to a puzzle.(less)
