Alan Clark
Alan Clark asked Dennis E. Taylor:

When I try and extol the virtues of your writing on other people I tend to describe it as "deceptively complex and intelligent ideas disguised as shallow dumbassery". Is that what you're going for or have I been offening you greatly from afar? Or do you just not mind what anyone says if it sends a paying customer to your door? :)

Dennis E. Taylor That's a positive comment and if someone described a book that way I'd grab it immediately.

As a general rule, though, I don't worry too much about negative comments or reviews. There will ALWAYS be those. Even The Martian got panned a lot. As long as the majority of people like my books, I'm ok.
