Mya Clardy asked Colleen Hoover:

Colleen, omg! I have got to be your biggest fan! I’m 15 years old and your books are like air to me! There’s only a few I haven’t read and I plan on doing so as soon as possible. I have tons of questions for you but I’ll narrow it down: Do you believe that the kind of love you right about is possible to have? Do you have that kind of fiery-passion love? Also, do you plan on writing more books? Thank you! <3

Colleen Hoover Good question! I don't know that the "fiery-passion" part of love can last forever, or burn as strong forever. Love goes through stages. The beginning is, of course, very passionate. But then as you grow together, love morphs into something more. Respect and admiration are big parts of that. I've been with my husband for over 20 years (we've been together since I was 16) and he's my best friend. Our love has changed in many ways, but we embrace that change. Yes, absolutely, there are people out there who fall in love and stay in love. It takes work and commitment, and most of all mutual respect, but I write about it because I'm inspired daily by my partner who wakes up in a good mood and treats me like a queen all day, every day. <3 In Slammed, Julia asks Layken three questions. If you can answer these three questions, you know you've found someone worth keeping. 1) Do they treat you with respect at all times? 2) If they are the same person 20 years from now that they are today, would you still want to spend your life with them? 3) Do they inspire you to want to be a better person?
