Haley asked Colleen Hoover:

When you finished writing Verity, did you find any challenges switching back to your traditional style of romance writing?

Colleen Hoover Honestly, I didn't find it challenging at all switching. I don't really look at my books as fitting into certain boxes. I always write what I feel like writing, which is why I wrote Verity. I had a story I wanted to tell, so I told it. Then I wrote Regretting You, which is a completely different feel, but not more or less difficult than Verity.
I like to write books that are different than the book before it. If I write a book with characters in their 30's, I tend to want to write young characters in the next novel. I don't like to get bored, so I like switching things up between each book.
