Hi Ellery, I'm really keen on the series of the secret, book, & scone. I've read several of them and they're magical. I'm from Ukraine, and English is not my native, while I'm using it pretty often. Sad, but I wasn't able to find any translation of your books. I was wondering if it's legal & appropriate if I post some of your books translated by myself in my blog? It's totally personal use, none of commercial purposes

Hi Marilia,
I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoy my books, and it must be frustrating to have to read them in another language. I certainly wish they were available in every language! And while you can translate and post certain passages on your blog, you couldn't post the entire work without permission from the publisher. It wouldn't hurt to ask, and here's an email for the person at Kensington you'd need to write: sgruninger@kensingtonbooks.com

I've been reading the Secret, Bone, and Book Society books (excited for the third one!), and I notice some of the characters share names of famous literary characters and that they share similar stories of those characters. Hester (Hester Prynne), Estella (Estella Havisham), Vanessa Macavity...). Are all the characters so strategically named? I couldn't find much about Nora or Jedidiah, so I was curious. Thanks!

I just finished The Secret, Book and Scone Society the other day and posted my Goodreads review. I am patiently awaiting The Whispered Word, I am excited to see what the ladies are up to in this next installment, to meet the new sheriff, and see what Jed is up too. In the meantime which one of your other series would you recommend a new reader of your books starting next? This lovely book inspired my reviewer name!
