Does this book get good at any point? I'm 20% of the way through and find the main character SO annoying, and the whole "the school is trying to kill me" got old on page 2. I really liked "Uprooted", and kind of liked "Spinning Silver"- should I keep reading this or give it up as a loss?
Melissa Paper She gets a little less annoying later on in my opinion. As she starts to get to know her classmates more, she's less begrudging towards them. Although…moreShe gets a little less annoying later on in my opinion. As she starts to get to know her classmates more, she's less begrudging towards them. Although, not towards everyone. The school will always be trying to kill them, which I find redundant too. I would recommend trying to get at least half way because I felt like you at the beginning and stuck around for the friendship angle and I'm still enjoying it.(less)
