Nayab asked A.G. Howard:

When did you realize that you wanted to express your creativity and knowledge through writing? Was it encouraged by others? What creative expressions (e.g. art, dance, media, music) have you tried in the past, present or future to express your creativity through?

A.G. Howard As a teen, I liked telling made-up tales to the kids I baby-sat. But I never took writing itself too seriously until years later, after I’d married, had two children, and lost my grandfather to brain cancer. The night he died, I sat down and wrote a two page tribute to him and his life. My cousins and relatives were so touched by the words that they asked if we could use the tribute as part of his eulogy.

When I realized I could connect with people emotionally through my writing, there was no going back. That's when I began to write short stories and novels, and I haven't stopped since. So I guess one could say my grandfather was my true inspiration, because the end of his journey was the beginning of mine.

As for other ways I once used to express my creativity, I did a post about that on my blog here: http://authoraghoward.blogspot.com/20...
