Nayab
Nayab asked Susan Vreeland:

When did you realize that you wanted to express your creativity and knowledge through writing? Was it encouraged by others? What creative expressions (e.g. art, dance, media, music) have you tried in the past, present or future to express your creativity through?

Susan Vreeland The desire came to the surface in the late 1980's when I was in my forties. It was first expressed in travel articles for magazines and newspapers, and later the desire was stimulated by meeting Jean and Forest Holly, two blind people whose lives were inspirational. My first book, What Loves Sees, tells their unbelievable story accurately. Please go to http://www.svreeland.com/wls-intro.html to learn about it.

Yes, my writing was encouraged by a writers' critique group with whom I worked for eight years.

My other creative outlet has been ceramics. I love to throw on the wheel. Although it's difficult to pursue that while I'm writing a book, I may go back to it.
