writing sometimes seems so hard when someone tells you what to write but easy when you write about what you want, why?

When you write what you want to write, then you are writing for what interests you and what lights up your imagination. The trick is that when someone else assigns you a topic, of how to find the angle to make it just as interesting. Sometimes that means looking at the topic from different perspectives, but once you get it, then you can write anything!

When writing books, do you start with the story or create the characters first? Also, where do you get these amazing character and country names?
