Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
John A. Read
The Man Who Couldn't Stay Dead has been carried around in my head for twenty years. But I always 'saw' it as a film screenplay. When I put together my collection of short stories I thought I would just write a test version of the story about 1-2000 words long to see how it came out. But once I started, it just kept on going and ended up at 13000 words. I like it a lot - but but still intend to write it as a screenplay.
