It'd be relatable to anyone who's ever had a crush (I had my first crushes when I was 5).

Some say that the Vietnamese Cinderella story is too violent. I don't buy it. I've read similar fairy tales as a 10 yo and it was fine. Would have been fine earlier too. No spoilers, but it's not really graphic. It speaks of horrible things happening (murder, accidental cannibalism), but barely shows them. Worse things happen IRL, no need to “shield” kids, they're not gonna break, don't worry! (less)
