Sabrina I agree with the middle grade and up rating BUT there was a scene that scarred me (a highschooler) for a while in the Cinderella part that involves cannibalism and some bloody images but other than those few pages it's ok.
Nadine I'd say it's suitable for middle grade - there is nothing "graphic" or sexual and it's a very gentle book.
Anna I don't know what the official age rating is, but I'd say this graphic novel is for anyone old enough to read it by themselves. It'd be relatable to anyone who's ever had a crush (I had my first crushes when I was 5).

Some say that the Vietnamese Cinderella story is too violent. I don't buy it. I've read similar fairy tales as a 10 yo and it was fine. Would have been fine earlier too. No spoilers, but it's not really graphic. It speaks of horrible things happening (murder, accidental cannibalism), but barely shows them. Worse things happen IRL, no need to “shield” kids, they're not gonna break, don't worry!
Capybara Man I agree with Sabrina below. While it is a very sweet book with nothing sexual (they're young kids), the Cinderella story is very suddenly graphic and violent. That said, I think the violence and horror of that part serves a purpose. It is not gratuitous. I'd say young kids 12+ would be fine with this book :)
bunbun I think it's 12 and up..
