Hi Keshia! My first attempt at writing sci fi featured a character called Kyra, a sword-wielding mercenary woman who constantly lied about her past. She was my favourite to write, so when I decided to start a new series it made sense to clear up some of that confusion and tell the real story behind Kyra. I had to create the story in my head years ago, to be able to keep her character consistent, and it was just begging to become a series of its own! It's completely separate from the Earth Warden series, as it takes place a long time before those books, developing her from a young girl into a sarcastic, ass-kicking freedom fighter ;)
