This is my first book from Dean Koontz. Decided to listen to the audio book when I saw the ratings of it. 4.14 is quite a lot on here so I thought OK, let's do Mr. Koontz now. Three hours in and I thought this was one of the worst things I have ever read(listened to). Is this his style in general? Am I not getting something here?

If you want just a…moreThis is pretty typical Koontz, although I'd say not as good as some. I always suggest to new Koontz Readers to start with Watchers. If you want just a straight thriller with no government conspiracy, I would suggest Intensity. If you want something a little lighter read Tick Tock. Many of his books have paranormal and underlying government conspiracy themes so if you are not crazy about that then I wouldn't suggest to read anything else by him.(less)
