Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Richard Pacheco The poems from "Geography" were accumulated from many years when I decided to put them in book form following in the footsteps of Walt Whitman who also self-published. After all, only rarely do poetry books become best sellers. The actual poems found their inspiration from many different sources, some from painters I admire, others from simple experiences or things I've seen or experienced or imagined.
