A Goodreads user asked Jessica Day George:

I know many kids (12 and 13 year olds sent similar ones) but I am doing a fantasy writing unit for school and would like some advice on how to make and keep track of my characters. This is my question mark cuz it says I need one? I have a few ideas but wanted some real advice from a real author and you write one of my fave book series (Castle Glower series) so thank you. This will be continued in another one

Jessica Day George Make a character bible. Use a separate page or notebook or computer file and list every character and what we need to know about them. Eye color, hair color, skin color. Age. Species. Magic powers. How they dress. You can do it all at once if you're plotting your story out in advance, and/or just add to it as you go along.
