Still in the midst of reading. A shame such similarities between this & Verity (read a year ago). Many times at the start of book I put it down & thought - "I read this before" . I started rushing through it, then checked my goodreads list. Sure enough I found Verity & similar storyline. I am now reading thru it in more detail. Glad for Goodreads & will continue to list my books. Maybe there needs to be statement?

I do have to say though that I think in this world now, we cannot really make up any new stories. Everything has really been done to a certain extent. I am not defending plagiarism by any means, but there is definitely a fine line between coincidence, inspiration, similar ideas, and plagiarism.(less)
