Molly Yep, that was about Khalil. I didn't catch any more direct references to The Hate U Give other than it being set in the same city (Garden Heights) and…moreYep, that was about Khalil. I didn't catch any more direct references to The Hate U Give other than it being set in the same city (Garden Heights) and the gangs that live there. The main character does mention a neighborhood grocery store which may have been an allusion to the Carters' store in THUG, but it's very brief. (less)
