Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nancy Wakeley The reason behind "Heirloom (A Kate Tyler novel) was two-fold. First, since it was my first book I wanted to see if I could do it! Second, I wanted to "write what I knew" as the saying goes for writers. So some of the ways I dealt with feelings of loss after losing my own sister many years ago came through in parts of the book. The book is not about that sad event but definitely influenced Kate's journey as she also heals.
