Alex asked Andreas Karpf:

Hi Andreas - I am a scientist who has been continually disappointed with science fiction books due to glaringly obvious scientific errors and limited, earth-bound imagination. The reality of astrophysics should give the writer so much to play with but it is rarely done well. However, your book is the best one I have ever read - you really used science to its full potential. When will you be publishing a second book?

Andreas Karpf Thank you for writing – I’m very happy you enjoyed the book. I totally agree with you – I find the sciences not only fascinating in their own right, but also a nearly endless source of material. In particular, I love to extrapolate on current advances and imagine what may lie ahead for humanity. Right now I’m working on a sequel to “Prelude to Extinction,” and plan to have it ready by the fall of 2021.
