Erica asked Shannon Messenger:

What was your favorite book when you were little?

Shannon Messenger MEEP--making me pick favorites again (SO HARD!) And this is especially difficult because I was a huuuuuuuuuuuge reader when I was a kid (no surprise there, I'm sure). So I'm going to cheat and give you a few:

When I was really, really little, I LOVED the picture books by Bill Peet, especially The Whingdingdilly and Farewell to Shady Glade. Of course I loved the stories, but I also looooooooved his art. His illustrations were a huge reason I fell in love with drawing and wanted to become an artist.

Once I could read on my own, one of my favorite books was Frog and Toad together, especially the story about the cookies they couldn't stop eating (clearly my obsession with baked goods started early)

And as I got older, I loved the Ramona books--and pretty much anything by Beverly Cleary, Roald Dahl, Nancy Drew, and Judy Blume.

I could keep going and going--but I'll stop there. And now I wanna reread all those awesome stories!
