I did not understand what happened at the end of the book. Especially with Holly. Was Becca not charged with the murder of Chris? Any light that you could shed would be appreciated.

At the end of the book, Becca was on her way to being tried for Chris's murder - and I believe something very odd would've had to happen for her to not be charged. The timeline of the book just happens to end before the trial.
The very last bit is another flashback- in which it is revealed that Holly was, in fact, the girl who created the "I know who killed him" post for the secret place. She put her detective's-daughter skills to work, creating an elaborate scheme designed to get Stephen Moran to start the ball rolling again on the stalled investigation into the murder of Chris Harper. The book concludes with Holly on her way to that initial meeting with Detective Moran, bringing the flashbacks up to date with the very beginning of the book. (less)
