We were give…moreI think, if I've had read this in my teens, i would've been team Maxon. But reading this as a new adult, I can't help but root for Aspen. We were given a strong hatred towards him because of what happened in The Selection where he was seen with another girl "happy" but after knowing his side, it turns out that he's been loyal all along. It's actually America who is annoying. She has her mind set to Aspen, then just because Maxon came, she forgets about their plans (with everything that they've been through! everything aspen has sacrificed for her!). I understand Maxon is your typical cheesy prince charming who wouldn't fall for that, but, I think being a royal guard sounds pretty hotter lol so, The Elite has me pausing many times because America has gotten annoying(less)
