KJ Borman
KJ Borman asked Gail Carson Levine:

Would you consider "Can a dragon judge ostumo?" to be an Ayorthian proverb? Also, from A Tale of Two Castles: "Love you lice. Only skeletons have none." I know that you have called this an adage, but I was wondering if can also be considered a proverb? Do you have any others that you created that I'm missing?

Gail Carson Levine Yes, I'd consider them proverbs. The one about ostumo comes from a Yiddish proverb my mother used to say, which translates, "What does a pig know about noodles." The lice one I invented, but I don't remember if I came up with others. You'll have to find them!
