If you were forced to have someone die in your book, would you rather have Keefe or Dex die?

Eek, now there's a question I really can't answer, because I could never just arbitrarily kill a character.
Any deaths that happen (IF any deaths happen) will depend entirely on the circumstances of the story. I know it may seem like I'm 100% in charge of the books, but they really take on a life of their own as I'm writing. For instance, the things that happened with Alden in book 2? I didn't know those were going to happen the way they did until I was writing the book and really looking at how the plot was affecting the characters and realized, "oh no, this is going to be very hard to write."
The good news is, I love my characters and fight very hard to keep them safe. But of course if the story takes an unexpected turn--and it's the *right* turn--I will go along with it, because that always makes for a better book. But I won't know until I get there.
(Also ha--I love that you left Fitz out of the discussion. Methinks you're trying to keep him safe) :)

I have read ALL the Keeper Of The Lost Cities book in about one and a half week—it was so good I couldn't stop!—and I recommended it to my friend, too, and she loved it so much! Um, are you going to be coming to NTTBF? (North Texas Teen Book Festival) You're one of my most FAVORITE authors of all time, and it would be SO awesome to see you in real life!

Alright, I have a slightly confusing question I bet no one else has asked yet. So, for and example, with Sophie and Fitz, when Sophie is thinking about Lord Cassius, what perspective does Fitz hear? I mean, does he hear 'Fitz's stare looks like Lord Cassius's,' or does he hear, 'Your stare looks like Lord Cassius's.'? Thank you for clearing that up!
