Not only must it have been difficult to track the iterations of the Bobs as you wrote the trilogy, but it’s first occurring to me on my second reading of the series the difficulty in telling their story non-chronologically. Riker may be at Sol in the 2170s but next scene he’s with Howard virtually in the 2190s. How difficult was that order in the writing?
