Goodreads asked Kim Iverson Headlee:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Kim Iverson Headlee It varies based on the severity of the symptoms, but usually it involves clearing other tasks & concerns off my desk before I can concentrate on writing new material.

My worst case of writer's block occurred a few years ago, and it lasted for =three years=. To read why, and how I vanquished my fears, I invite you to read the special bio I published with the novel that triggered the block, KING ARTHUR'S SISTER IN WASHINGTON'S COURT, the sequel that I wrote to Mark Twain's A CONNECTICUT YANKEE IN KING ARTHUR'S COURT.
