Hi Peter, I'm from New York as well! As a favor to another New Yorker and fantasy lover, do you think you could be more thoughtful in your portrayal of women in your books? To be honest, I was so disappointed after I read The Warded Man that I almost rage-quit the fantasy genre. I've loved reading fantasy since I was a child, but it was just so disappointing to read female characters who were so un-lovingly rendered.

(continued from prior ?) The women are one-dimensional and un-relatable. They exist mostly to get rescued or raped. They’re certainly not people I’d want to be or be friends with. I would love to read female characters who have character growth, have agency, are relatable, and do smart things. With great power comes great responsibility, Peter! Please don't perpetuate negative tropes. Work toward a less sexist world!
