Goodreads asked Richard M. Frain:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Richard M. Frain Many people who develop New Year’s Resolutions may at some point put “Write a book” on the list. Well, it’s been on my list for several years. I never got very far until one night. I was surfing through channels and stumbled upon Harry Potter. Watching the films, I could tell why so many people were captivated by it. The characters had mysteries to solve, new things to learn and see that capture the imagination, a journey in a world different from our own, and a story arch over several books. However, I was struck by the focus on violence, death and hopelessness.

If I was going to spend time writing a book, I needed to spend time trying to reach the lost and encourage the believer. The next day, I began writing a book to “Reach and Teach” and “Riddle of Cornerstone” was born.

While writing Riddle, I developed the story idea for next step in the adventure. That idea became my latest book, "Melchizedek's Bounty."
