First of all, I wanted to thank you. As a demisexual/romantic, I have never truly been able to see myself in a character. Aled changed that. I wish I could explain how I felt reading a book where I could genuinely connect to a main character, but being able to see an aspect of myself in Aled made me feel less alone. Thank you. My question is: What/who was the inspiration behind Aled?

Alice Oseman I'm so so happy to hear that!! Aled was inspired by a lot of my own experiences, particularly at university. But he's not me, he's fictional, so there was a lot of imagination involved too :)
