Hank Quense
I've had the main character (Princess Moxie) bugging me for years. I wrote a short story about her once, but it never sold. One day I got the idea to put her into a novel (anything to shut her up). When I plotted out the story, it turned out I need two whole novels to get the complete story told. Needless to say, Moxie was very happy about the second novel.
