This does not allow long questions. So to be short a book of yours I am now reading has brought to mind children I had worked with during my 30 years as a juvenile Probation Officer in Newburgh, NY. They have never mattered and I hope you can give them a voice. Their stories beyond fiction. Ex.Did a home visit to juvenile who slept on floor with dirty clothes a pillow, no bed, no blanket. He didnt matter to anyone, c?

Thank you getting in touch, Bernadette, and thank you for doing such important work for 30 years! As I mentioned in the afterword to THE NIGHT VISITORS I worked for a few years at Family of Woodstock and in that brief time (compared to your long experience) I saw so many instances of people--women, children, the homeless--who didn't seem to matter to society at large. Thank goodness for people like you to whom they do matter. I will always try to give voice to the voiceless in my work. Perhaps you should write about your experiences as well. If you like Private Message me at my FB author page and I'll send you my email so we can stay in touch. And again, thank you for reading and for all the good work you've done.

I have just finished, The Sea of Lost Girls, was thrilled to see that you are a local author to where I live. Shocked that this is the first book of yours I have read.I can not wait for this pandemic to end so that I can resume volunteering at local used book store attached to Poughkeepsie library. My question would be, when this pandemic is over will you be scheduling any local events?
