I have just finished, The Sea of Lost Girls, was thrilled to see that you are a local author to where I live. Shocked that this is the first book of yours I have read.I can not wait for this pandemic to end so that I can resume volunteering at local used book store attached to Poughkeepsie library. My question would be, when this pandemic is over will you be scheduling any local events?

Hi Bernadette,
I'm delighted to have a new local reader! Certainly I hope to continue doing local events once that's possible again. If you "like" my fb author page you'll be notified when I do. I generally do at least one event at Oblong Books in Rhinebeck when I have a new book comes out, and I've occasionally done events with other authors in between (I recently did a virtual event with another local author Danielle Trussoni). I hope to see you when events are a thing again! Be well!

(con't) the idea of whether or not you can ever go home. I introduced the idea of Hireath (Welsh), the yearning for a home that is no more or never was, and it evolved into a great conversation filled with insightful comments. In fact, I've recycled the question again in an upper level writing class this semester and again the students were actually excited to write about this topic. So, very inspiring! Thanks! ?

I spent the first 64 years of my life in the Hudson Valley. A year & a half ago I moved to Oregon to be with my son & his family. I love being here but I miss the Northeast, especially in the fall: the smells & the colors & the crisp air that overwhelms after a muggy summer. I just read The Widow's House & I can't thank you enough for bringing me home. How many of your books are in the Hudson Valley?

Firstly I thought your book was fantastic. Question one: Whats your process for creating successful dialogue that intrigues the reader? I want to write a book, but hewn it comes to dialogue, I dont know, it makes it weird, if that makes sense. Question two: What was your inspiration?
