Janet
Janet asked Carol Goodman:

I spent the first 64 years of my life in the Hudson Valley. A year & a half ago I moved to Oregon to be with my son & his family. I love being here but I miss the Northeast, especially in the fall: the smells & the colors & the crisp air that overwhelms after a muggy summer. I just read The Widow's House & I can't thank you enough for bringing me home. How many of your books are in the Hudson Valley?

Carol Goodman I'm so glad, Janet! I bet Oregon is beautiful! Quite a lot of my books are set in the Hudson Valley. THE LAKE OF DEAD LANGUAGES is set in the southern Adirondacks (but near the Hudson River), THE SEDUCTION OF WATER, THE DROWNING TREE, THE GHOST ORCHID, ARCADIA FALLS, RIVER ROAD, THE WIDOW'S HOUSE, and THE NIGHT VISITORS.
